POVIDONE-IODINE 10% (BETADINE)

Chemical compounds:
Povidone-iodine 10gr / 100ml, Glycerin, Deionized water, Synergizing and Stabilizing substances.

Mechanism of action:
Like chlorine, iodine kills the gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, Sporobacterium, fungi, and most viruses due to its high oxidizing power. Iodine destroys the disease-causing microorganisms by interfering with the metabolic reactions as well as destroying the structure and stopping the synthesis of the proteins and nucleic acids.

Indications and usage:
The povidone-iodine 10% disinfectant solution is used for disinfection of skin surface , mouth and tongue of livestock, wounds , scratches, skin abrasions, external surface of livestock udder, site disinfection before and after surgery, disinfection of livestock and the poultry housing and milking equipments and supplies.

Attention:
- Do not use the povidone-iodine 10% solution to disinfect deep wounds.
- Colorless or pale solution has no antiseptic property.
- Avoid diluting with hot water above 40 ° C.

Precautions:
- Avoid the contact of this solution with the animal’s water and food.
- Avoid reusing the empty gallons of solution.
- Avoid mixing the solution with other chemicals.

Storage conditions :
Store in tightly closed containers, in a well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight at a temperature below 10-25 ° C and protect from freezing .
