Methenamine and other add-ons
Pharmacology:
C-urotropine kills bacteria in the urine through releasing formaldehyde into the urinary tract and bladder. Also, when the bladder is affected by acidic urine, this drug with alkaline properties improves the bladder inflammation. C-urotropine is active against many urinary pathogens and resistance to it , is developed slowly . In vitro tests have been shown that C-urotropine , dissolves uric acid in itself.
Indications and usage:
C-urotropine is used for the treatment of cystitis, kidney stones, gallbladder and to prevent diseases such as: Blue comb, Visceral and joint gout, Nephrosis (Gumboro), Enteritis, Salmonellosis and colibacillosis .
Dosage and administration:
1-2gr/ lit for 3 to 6 consecutive days by dissolving in water.
Necessary recommendations at the time of consumption:
- Don't use C-urotropine with sulfonamides, as it causes the formation of insoluble deposit in the urinary tract and bladder.
- The consumption solution should be prepared on the same day and consumed immediately after preparation.
contraindications:
Five days before slaughtering, the medicine should be discontinud and fresh water should be provided to the poultry.
